More and more our project was beginning to

ess condition. And how did we want to handle this crisis? We called an unexpected emergency group getting together with. Members of your group trekked across campus through the wind and chilly to a Community House community hall, and although a lighter would have been nice, and a jar of sleeping pills might have calmed our nerve fibres, we sitting down jointly to try and repair our whole project.

So what did we all do only at that meeting? To begin with, we had to decide on a Logical Process through which we could start handling this dilemma. What issues do we need to cope with, and in what order would we need to manage them in order that we would get to a realistic decision? Yes, we needed to secure a venue to get our demonstration, but both the fundraising as well as the entertainment committees were jogging into major problems that belongs to them. Should we address problems also? Our answer was? NO, rather we chosen to funnel all of our energy to the venue difficulty. After all, fund-collecting and entertainment would be of no result if we would not have anywhere to put on the presentation.

Second that we performed was develop alternative methods of action. What were the best outcomes that people could reasonably hope for? What were the minimum final results that we wanted to achieve? And how could all of us go about achieving these final results? Obviously, we felt required to at least place on a demonstration of some type, however , in the event the public schools were in strike, we all decided we would check out private colleges, parochial schools, or perhaps a regional YMCA. If worse came to worse, we’re able to always placed on an evening presentation preceded with a heavy dosage of marketing.

The next action that we needed to do was Identify the two obstacles plus the adverse outcomes of each course of action. What would stand in the way of each alternative? What will the positive and negative attributes be of every alternative? The very first thing we performed was seem back by our eyesight statement. This says that individuals envision a community of youngsters that makes knowledgeable lifestyle alternatives in todays high risk universe. This clearly showed us which our goal was going to reach out to a high- risk audience. Whenever we were to place on a display for a group of upper middle class white kids for a private college, many of us felt that we can be failing to reach our targeted high-risk audience. If we would have been to put on a presentation by a YMCA or at nighttime, attendance would likely be low. However , if we did not seriously pursue these types of options with all the threat of the prolonged reach looming above our heads, we were operating the risk of not really putting on a presentation whatsoever.

After considering our alternatives, it was at last time for us to DECIDE. With the projected business presentation date below 3 weeks aside, and with the conditions and entire strike still pending, we decided to put off the exclusive school/YMCA option for at a maximum of 2 or 3 more days in order to see if the strike could last
