Focusing only on delicious chocolate energy beverage. * Big sales far away. * It can be available in different sizes, shapes and type. 2. Value for money. Promotion/advertising done in various other countries. Weak points * Insufficient diversity in flavours 2. Packaging (design of tin + labelling ) Options * Improved media readily available (mobiles/internet) 2. Increased health industry 5. Increase awareness of health and fitness * Sponsorship (through sporting events) Threats * Competitors (hot chocolate, energy drinks) 5. Well known successful brands while competitors * Competitors can use aggressive promoting tactics cut prices/increase advertising * Competitors bring out related products Competitors have variety in presentation (bottles, pouches, cans, etc) Challenges Milo also has problems in marketing the product to consumer. The challenges are in sizzling chocolate and energy beverage. The challenger in hot chocolate is definitely Vico. Vico chocolate beverage also is the widely used choice between to consumer in Malaysia. Vico chocolate drink have more chocolate test than Milo and the selling price also more affordable than Milo. Vico may be the substitution merchandise for Milo. The energy drink, the challenges is result from Horlick.
Horlicks contain wide range of vitamins and minerals. This device gives energy to human body to working or take action activities. Generally this beverage will take inside the breakfast. Horlicks are good in advertisement. For instance , in Ramadhan, we need energy to fasting and they make use of this chance to market their item that can offers energy to body in fasting. Improvement To improve the industry, I think Milo have to do a thing in their taste and advertisements. For taste, make an investigation more regarding consumer behaviour in Malaysia.
