Views in the rendering of the increased k 12

I. INTRODUCTION

The Philippines may be the last nation in Asia and among the three nations that has a eight year pre-university education software before the implementation of the K-12 system. K-12 program indicates a good quality of education specifically for the standard of the education system worldwide, qualification to function abroad and development of expertise in employment. The problem in implementation of K-12 inside the Philippines may be the preparedness of the Filipino people to study with this procedure of quality education.

For furthermore information let’s define initially what is K-12.

a. PRECISELY WHAT IS K-12

The K to 12 System covers pre-school and 12 years of basic education (six years of major education, four years of jr high school, and two years of senior high school [SHS]) to provide adequate time for competence of concepts and skills, develop ongoing learners, and prepare graduates for tertiary education, middle-level skills expansion, employment, and entrepreneurship.[1] It means that you will have additional two levels in high school.

It is believed that K-12 would put the Philippine education system in par together with the international regular and help the improvement of the better informed society that is capable of pursuing fruitful employment, entrepreneurship, or higher education studies.

The adoption of the program is response to the requirement to improve the competition of our country’s graduates as the ten-year basic education cycle is seen as inadequate for work and higher education. In fact , overseas Filipino workers are not automatically recognized as professionals far away in the view that ten-year education program in insufficient. The Philippines is the only country in Asia and is one among only three countries in the world with a ten-year basic education cycle.[1]

m. CONTENTS

The training must be learner-centered, focusing on the best development of every single Filipino student. Another thing is to be responsive within our local needs to enrich the integrative, inquiry-based, constructivist, and technology-enhancement of our society. Here’s the collection of accompanying K-12 coming from kindergarten to new secondary school years 5-6. In pre-school, they’re going to teach the fundamental learning that a kid need.

Previous is the extra two year levels the grade 10 and 12 which is focusing on major themes like Mathematics, Science, The english language, Contemporary concerns and specializations.

c. FEATURES (Learning Areas)

i. The brand new Features of K-12 basic education curriculum will be: * Top to bottom continuum and horizontal assemblage of expertise * Mother Tongue as a learning are and medium of instruction 2. Spiral progression in Research and Mathematics

* MAPEH(Music, Arts, Physical Education and Health) begins in Quality 1

This article in the Philippine Cosmetic supports the endeavor of improving the caliber of education inside the Philippines. It also aims to uplift educational regular to produce skilled Filipino students that can be competitive and be in par to countries. w. Reasons for putting into action K-12

So why add two more years?

Adding two more years will decongest the basic education curriculum and will provide quality education for all those. K to 12 can be not fresh, the proposal for it goes back to 1925. It will be minus 2 rather than plus two for those families who perhaps have been hit by the recent economic climate and are unable a college education but still hoping to have their kids find a good paying out job. With this, father and mother spend for at least four years of college to have an employed child. In this form, father and mother will not take in for a couple of years of basic education that may give them an employable kid. In effect, we could saving parents 2 years of expenses. The plan is not really “Plus a couple of years before graduation but “Minus 2 years before work. What will society gain from T to doze?

K to 12 will help in speeding up the financial growth since it directs pupils to choose courses that respond to the local demands of the society. A better informed society gives a sound foundation for long term socio-economic development.

III. ANALYSIS

c. Strengths of K-12

we. Argument Number 1 (Philippines will have a 12-year standard education program)

In adding two more years inside our educational program in the Korea, I think there isn’t a problem since we need to update the standard of our education just as the other nation have. Because in Asia, only Korea has a 10-year educational system and Thailand is one of the 3 countries in the world didn’t have already a 12-year educational program, which is the basis of another countries overseas in overlooking Filipino to work for all of them or they will don’t recognized the professionalism and reliability of the Filipino because of their educational background, for a few countries 10-year educational software is insufficient. Some other part of K-12 educational program, the method for further learning is much more fruitful because it is applicable Mother Tongue which is the language spoke by a person in his region or terrain.

ii. Debate No . a couple of (Includes MTBMLE or Native language Based Multi-lingual Education in the curriculum)

This method will be the method of instructions from pre-school up to grade three. English language and Philippine is the channel of training in level four.[2] For grades one particular to 3 It’s easy to learn issues when the presenter is using the language from other province. Native language is used because the initial point intended for literacy development of the student.

m. Negative aspects of K-12

iii. Argument No . one particular (Insufficient skilled teachers to train in the K-12 program and availability of more classrooms)

Insufficient teachers and classrooms are the most common problems before the rendering of K-12 program, after which until now this problem I think will certainly continuously on going because of K-12 program. You will see additional two years so it means number of classrooms in each school must increase. Volume of teachers ever since then was not enough to fulfill the needs of our country in education. So how are all of us going to look for teachers to teach In the K-12 program? The government must pay attention for this disagreement if that they really want to apply K-12.

iv. Argument Number 2 (Unavailable materials including textbooks and curriculum designed for K-12)

Textbooks using Mother Tongue is one of the concerns to be pursue by a task in applying K-12. Govt must generate textbooks which will act as the guide from the students with their studies. Such as a Philippine Mathematics publication or Bicolano Fundamental Math book. Individuals are only model but option truth with this argument, books using Native language.

IV. BOTTOM LINE

I therefore concluded that lets give a chance in applying K-12 fundamental education put in the Korea, it’s not only going to add two more year levels to suffer more in our education although also it standardize our educational system around the world, strengthen the academics subjects, enhance each of our literacy through multilingualism, and also work readiness using Elderly High School(SHS). As far as I realize several universities already created teachers to teach in the K-12 program but they are few, we require thousands of educators. Just give an opportunity then discussing see what will be the result of this program. We don’t know, if K-12 is a way for an improved quality and accessible education here in the Philippines. Let’s be accountable in our neighborhood needs and particularly in our education.
