Management is truly essential in any discipline, whether it is in the public or perhaps private sector; but command is especially necessary for professionals in the criminal justice field because the welfare and safety with the public is at stake. So when ethical values are not honored in the criminal justice program it creates a niche in top quality service to get citizens, and moreover a lack of virtue and ethics presents a very negative and probably embarrassing scandal for public servants. Different leader characteristics include personal energy, loyalty, tact, and humility (Carpenter, 55).

Values and Advantage in Felony Justice Leadership

Author Sam Souryal rates from a James Madison writing inside the 51st Federalist Paper: “If men had been angels zero government would be necessary, [and] if angels were to govern men none external neither internal regulates on authorities would be necessary” (Souryal, 2010, p. 205). Ethical management, Souryal produces (206) means more than just “looking good”; that entails “being good” experts.

And to achieve the “being good” element of professionalism an innovator must have two “moral benefits, ” Souryal explains (206): those two are “integrated thinking and moral speed. ” The integrated pondering part of advantage is having a talent to get wisdom, based on “reasoning and deductive logic” and those characteristics must be entirely independent via bias (Souryal, 206).
