Why was reconstruction a failure article

The Reconstruction of the South was obviously a period the place that the government made a decision they required to solve economical and political problems that came into existence over the years. I do believe the Reconstruction Era was obviously a failure for a lot of reasons. The Era had a goal of allowing flexibility and equality for all, abolishing slavery, and restoration from the Union and I don’t feel as though some of those had been accomplished. Chief executive Lincoln released a proclamation in 1863 showing his plan, where readmittance of most Southern claims would occur after 10% of their voting human population had proven its loyalty to the Union.

Lincoln was then assassinated and Meeks took for the plan since new leader, but Congress called for tighter measurements. The proclamation was supposed to be applied to secure rights for former slaves, and equality, though that issue still seems to be an issue in America today.

The 13th, fourteenth, and 15th amendment had been all passed in effort to get rid of slavery, and make African-Americans feel that they were comparable to whites.

There was such a drive by certain groups to abolish slavery, but slaveowners and southerner a found many ways throughout the new rules. Things such as literacy tests, and poll income taxes were there to make certain things continue to weren’t equivalent for African-Americans, although laws were aiming to force this. Slaves weren’t educated, nor payed almost close enough to what they needed to eat only of, consequently it was impossible for them to go literacy checks, and pay the poll taxation which designed they were not able to place their vote, and they had been still problem by their contest. The conservatives believed that for recovery of the Union to take place, that they’d have to make sure the Southern wasn’t going to secede again.

Along with knowing the The southern part of states weren’t going to secede, they demanded an oath of dedication from 50 percent of each says voting population. The repair of claims was a well thought out goal, yet didn’t attain all that they were hoping for. In a country using different opinions and beliefs I believe there will always be dispute among groups. I think the Reconstruction Era was a well thought out idea, but not contacted in the proper ways. I would consider it a failure, but there are positive aspects from it, such as slaves being separated, and African-Americans gaining the rights to vote, if perhaps they acquired lucky. Slaves gained hardly any rights, but nonetheless were happy they attained any. Although it brought equally negative and positive aspects for folks, I think we might be in similar position we’re in now socially, and economically in America.
