Catherine de Medicis and Her Florentine Close friends was written by De Lamar Jensen and published in July 1978. Like the additional two creators presented below, Jensen switches into the line of scientific objectivity in treating the image of Catherine de Medicis free of the controversies of the legend and based on reliable historic sources. Like Catherine Crowford, a number of decades afterwards, he will take the personality from the extraordinary situations of mystical circumstances and put her inside the context of historic actuality, much less spectacular, but likewise much more appropriate for a clinical attempt to regain her picture and place her in the correct lines of history.
