Paul Cezanne was born in 1839 in the southern The french language town of Aix-en-Provence. He was the child of a prosperous banker. He became enthusiastic about art from a young age, which would not please his father.
Cezanne was educated at the College or university Bourbon by Aix, in which he befriended Emile Zola. Equally Cezanne and Zola made the decision they would like to spend themselves to art. Zola settled to a literary career in Paris, although Cezanne, after having a short period as a law student, decided to go along with his father”s would like that he should go on the management of the relatives bank.

In the eighties and nineties, his name had become almost unknown in the bigger art sectors of Rome. However , his fame started to gradually move among artists, and in 1904 an exhibition of his works in the Autumn salon revealed to the population this unknown genius. Most of his fame came posthumously, as Cezanne died at Aix in 1906.
