Combat in the Fields: Cesar Chavez

In FIGHT IN THE AREAS: CESAR CHAVEZ Essay, by Margo Sorenson, two teenagers were not paying attention in history category, and their instructor assigned these people Saturday college, pulling weeds. Kenneth and Aleesa werent friends, we were holding caught completing a note to someone. After, they started to work on Saturday, they both equally drank by a green water container, that delivered them back in its history. To the season 1965, where Cesar Chavez was helping the discipline workers obtain their own union. By donning a strike against the Schenley Company, who grow grapes in Delano, California, and sold all of them around the world.

While, the teenagers had been in the past, they lived and worked with the Lopezs, Juan, Rosa, and the son Luis. Luis helped Kenneth and Aleesa determine what was going on during that time with the NFWA- National Plantation Workers Connection and the reach to get the staff a union of their own, and they all signed up with the NFWA. Which resulted in the year 70 and they were able to go back to all their time. Both equally Kenneth and Aleesa could experience the affect first hand, and once they returned home, they wished that they had paid a little bit more attention in class, and that they were gonna from then on.

Though, this is an imagined book, it tells a genuine story about the have difficulties of the plantation worker to secure a better lifestyle for themselves and their families. You will find two primary themes through this book, nonviolence, and the guard dignity.

Cesar Chavez was a nonviolent man who would do anything to never get in a fight while they where boycotting the growers. A single, incident inside the story was when a gardener pulled out a gun, and he pointed it at the strikers, Chavez said, He contains a harder decision to make, our company is just standing up here in peace The picketer were crushed and put in jail ahead of they would react and that is what why all farm staff look up to Cesar Chavez, together with his good friend Martin Luther California king Jr. Non-Violence is the just way to fix anything. The growers in that time did not care about their workers, if individuals were striking, the growers would venture to Mexico and bring in Braceros, imply that they would not need to indication the union contract and never take union workers, who had been willing to operate if the gardener would sign the agreement.

What does this book have to do with Spanish traditions? There is many and varied reasons why this book has something to do with Hispanic tradition, mostly all of the farm employees at that time were Mexican migrants Braceros or they were Mexican American people that just wanted a much better life on their own. There was a lot more Spanish phrases in this book compared to my other publication, like for example, Viva La Querella Viva Inactividad is what was on the strikers signs as they boycotted the growers.

I actually liked this book very much since while I was reading this publication California pasted a new getaway for Cesar Chavez, his birthday, Marzo 31 and he died Abril twenty three, 1993. If he had under no circumstances started the NFWA in those days, who does where farm employees would be, We bet they would have not got very considerably in life. People dont seem to care about wherever their food come from and all sorts of the hard function it takes to select the food. At this point, that I include read this publication I a thankful for anything that I have and I look up to Chavez and what he stands for.

Kenneth and Aleesa discovered a very good hear in life, to be thankful to go to institution and that they possess to work on their hands and knees everyday of their lifes, from daylight to sunset. That trip to yesteryear changed the way in which that they found the world along with I examine it, Used to do too.
