In order to tackle this kind of, an underground sewerage program was recommended in the municipality of Alandur in 1996. The government of Tamil Nadu (GOT) together with the financial support from Community Bank took a decision to get a sewerage program in considerately selected doze urban centres and Alandur being the one of it.

Preparation of the PPP Project:

The Tamil Nadu Urban Infrastructure Financial Services Limited (TNUIFSL) was formed with the objective of enhancing the state of city infrastructure inside the state and was in charge of financial structuring of the total project.
