College Classes

College classes are the bread and butter of an ASTI upperclassman's cirriculum. Classes are provided by the College of Alameda.

Typically, students should try to fulfill their high school graduation, IGETC, then AA (Associate of Arts) degree requirements in that order. Students need to be wary of a few things regarding college classes:

  1. Classes may not always be offered when they are wanted.
  2. Classes do fill up quickly, and our enrollment date is only slightly before others'.
  3. If students take over 11.5 units, they will have to pay a fee for those units (unless BOG applicable--ask Ms. Ahn for details)
  4. Students must take at least three (3) classes per semester.
  5. Students are to treat college classes as any other class--they are expected to behave responsibly and maturely.
  6. Students are not required to maintain dress code while at the college; upon returning to campus, however, dress code is reapplied.

Refer to the Resources tab for links about enrolling in classes, or ask Ms. Ahn for help.
